Location: Salford (with UK travel) Package: Competitive Salary 10% bonus, 25 days annual leave, car allowance, 3% Flex Fund Life Assurance Pension The company NHS SBS provides a range of outsourced BPO services to NHS clients across the UK, which it delivers through its Finance & Accounting, Employee Services and Transactional Procurement business lines. Recently NHS SBS has developed a new ‘Innovation and Technology Services’ business line to provide Managed ICT and Digital Consultancy and Innovation services to NHS trusts. In 2019 NHS SBS was successful in securing multi-year contracts with Cambridge and Peterborough Foundation Trust (CPFT) and Cambridge Community Services Trust (CCST), for the transformation and ongoing provision of their Managed ICT services. NHS SBS is now working closely with both clients to transform their legacy infrastructure technology platforms and the associated operational support and service delivery model. The Day Job The Head of Procurement Service Development will engage with the NHS Procurement and Commercial landscape and develop forward thinking solutions to help NHS SBS clients save money, improve process and reduce risk. This role will refine existing services, Frameworks, Transactional and Integrated Procurement services, Healthcare Improvement Solutions (Consultancy) and develop new solutions and includes the development of technological applications as appropriate. Key Responsibilities: Refinement of existing services to ensure efficient delivery and high client NPS Drive continuous and sustainable growth by developing new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement Identify opportunities for the use of robotics/automation Proactively working with clients at a local, regional and national level to understand the challenges faced Support the development of the overall Procurement business strategy Essential skills: Extensive NHS Procurement experience at a senior level High quality senior engagement with proven influencing skills A consultative and solutioning approach to understanding client challenges Experience of effective account management Proven experience of successfully working in a matrix management structure Understanding of relevant systems to ensure compliance and efficiency of use Commercially astute and a customer focused professional Ability to engage and communicate with people at all levels
