Overview
I am currently partnered with one of Europe's leading financial services companies who offer an alternative to traditional banks and wealth management firms. They are currently looking for a UK based Technology Manager to oversea the smooth running of their internal IT function which is heavily supported by two 3rd parties. You will manage and oversee both providers, making sure the service is fit for purpose. Communication and management of these providers across multiple sites is key. Alongside the management of 3rd parties it is imperative that the right candidate has the willingness to get hands on with IT, the ideal candidate will have a no job too small mentality. Duties will include but will not be limited to: Understanding our server infrastructure and security set-up Managing day to day operations of IT systems with IT support firm, ensuring that planning, end-user impact, change management, training, and quality of support are properly addressed and monitored to ensure deadlines, budgets and service levels are met and results delivered. Leading and overseeing technical quotes and specifications Maintaining Business Continuity and Major Incident plan for IT Implementing measures to safeguard IT in the event of major incidents or disasters Constant communication throughout the firm and regularly at Executive Committee level Facilitating smooth delivery of all projects and enhancements Creating awareness and use-cases for latest technology trends in the financial sector What you’ll need: Solid understanding of the needs of different teams Ability to communicate effectively with senior management as well as at all levels across the firm Ability to multi-task and adapt in an international environment To be flexible, able to work autonomously as well as take direction as needed Analytical skills with attention to detail Strong organisation and prioritising skills Understanding of cloud-based IT infrastructures, integrating third-party solutions and vendors If you would like to be considered please click apply now.
