Overview
Luton Borough Council are currently looking Social Workers to join their Looked After Childrens team Luton is a supportive and agency friendly authority with strong, supportive and long standing management The pay rate for this role dependant on experience. Key duties of the role include: Managing a case load of min 20 case Undertake statutory duties under the Children Act 1989 and other legislation and guidance relating to service users and carers e.g. care proceedings, arrangements for adoption/permanency, risk assessments and investigations in relation to the protection of children. Plan professional intervention using the appropriate available resources ensuring needs are met through negotiation and consultation with professional colleagues and service users.
