Java Developer - Newport - £30,165 - £37,241 Benefits Flexible Working An excellent job opportunity has arisen for a Java Developer to join a highly established and renowned organisation in Newport that are currently going through an overhaul of their legacy systems to initiate a whole new way of working for the organisation. They are embarking on an ambitious technology and business change transformation programme, with a view to replace multiple bespoke applications with modern enterprise class systems. They are adopting a cloud first approach, which will transform the way that they deliver their services to the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a Java Developer to take an active involvement in this transformation programme, which is aimed at delivering high quality digital services. It is essential that you have a solid technical background, with hands-on Java Development experience. You should be a forward-thinking individual who is keen to explore the latest technologies. This position is based in a highly successful Java Development team that work in an Agile Scrum methodology. You will be responsible for improving everything at every opportunity migrating the new technology over to a new platform and shutting off old systems with minimum downtime as well as building automated pipelines and automation test frameworks. Working in the full software development life cycle, you will be responsible for the design, coding, testing and documentation of small scale through to large, complex programmes and systems. You will build automated tests to support the continuous deployment environment whilst also implementing tool kits and APIs for purposes such as integration, performance optimisation, security and scalability.
