MAIN JOB PURPOSE Be part of a well established QA Team working at the heart of the internet. You will be supported by friendly technical experts while working closely with teams across the business. As QA Analyst in our IT Operations team you will be contributing to the delivery of a vibrant digital future, empowered to grow your technical skills, prepare and execute allocated QA activities. For over 20 years, we have been operating at the heart of the internet infrastructure as proud guardians of the .UK domain name registry. JOB SUMMARY Hands-on and proactive execution of assigned QA activities on projects or releases: Owns preparation, scheduling and execution of automated and manual system/functional/regression test activities. Owns preparation, review and prioritisation of user acceptance test cases. Follows up on QA project/release schedule delivery and coordinates execution of user acceptance test cases (UAT) with business testers. Owns Bugs reporting, tracking progress of fixes and retesting/confirmation of implemented fixes (JIRA). Records test results (JIRA). Carries out necessary amendments to existing regression test scripts and prepares new regression test scripts. Initiates and prioritises regression test scripts execution to ensure relevant test coverage is maintained and risks are mitigated (JIRA). Initiate and follows through to a successful conclusion process of business requirements review to determine readiness for QA and Dev activities to commence. Working with business managers to arrange and cooridinate UAT teams. Ensures QA checklists for project/release are actively used by stakeholders. Initiates and works closely with software release manager to coordinate testing timing, and report on test progress. Ensures agreed QA deadlines are met. Contributes to Change Advisory Board and Go-NoGo meetings by providing initial assessment of overall QA outcome to determine fitness for deployment to Production. Initiates test closure activities (lessons learnt, test documentation finalisation and QA templates update recommendation). Acts as an advocate of QA policy. Follows through and implements QA strategy. KEY REQUIREMENTS Experience in implementing automated test frameworks and maintaining an automated suite of tests. Experience in preparing, executing and closing automated and manual test activities. Preparation and delivery of QA test activities and test plans. Working in cross-functional teams. Excellent time management skills. Able to pick up and learn how to use new computer applications quickly. Develops understanding of the Internet, Domain Name System (DNS), Registry Systems.
