Overview
Student Services Officer Salary: £21,000 Per annum Location: Portsmouth Navitas is a diversified global education provider that offers an extensive range of educational services for students and professionals including university programs, language training, workforce education and student recruitment. If successful, you would be joining the International College Portsmouth team, where we prepare international students from all around the world for undergraduate and postgraduate level study at the University of Portsmouth. You'd be joining a group of really dedicated staff here who work hard to ensure that students have the very best chance of success, whether through academic or welfare and transition support. We maintain a very friendly culture and environment for staff and students alike, and while it's sometimes a fast-paced and busy environment, it's hugely rewarding for the team when we see our students succeed and progress to the University of Portsmouth, and indeed graduate a couple of years later. Requirements of the Student Services Officer: Essential Strong verbal and written English language communication skills Excellent attention to detail Effective interpersonal skills with a variety of cultural and ethnic stakeholder groups Computer literacy skills inclusive of demonstrated competence with the Microsoft Office suite Comfortable with spreadsheets, data analysis and numbers File management and administrative skills Experience in a customer services focused environment Tertiary qualifications, or possess related sector qualifications/training Proactive work habits Proven ability as a 'team player' Proven ability to organise own workload and to cope with a variety of task demands Flexible attitude to work including a willingness to work weekends and evenings in support of student and administrative activities Creative thinking processes Commitment to self-improvement Desirable Experience of working in a multi-cultural and/or international environment Administrative and compliance experience related to Tier 4 sponsorship duties and requirements Education services industry in the UK and offshore Front-line customer relationship management to multicultural clientele Working knowledge of the Immigration Rules with particular specialism of Tier 4 Budget management Experience with student orientation events OSH qualifications First Aid qualification A second language What We Offer: The Navitas Group offers outstanding long-term career opportunities within the UK and abroad, and is values driven and an equal opportunity employer.
