An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Student Engagement Assistant Job Title: Student Engagement Assistant Hours: Term time, 22 hours per week, 40 weeks per year (Wednesday and Thursday 8.30 – 17.00, Friday 8.30 – 16.00) Contract: Permanent Salary: £16,302.00 FTE (£8,405.47 actual) Do you have the enthusiasm, drive and ability to make a difference to an Amazing College? The Student Engagement Assistant is responsible to the Student Engagement Co-ordinator for providing high quality support to students in order to enable the College to meet the above broad objectives. Team working and communications within an overall approach that values people will be of key importance. Main duties will include – To provide an initial point of contact for Student Central. To deal with enquiries quickly and effectively as appropriate, addressing those that can be dealt with by the post holder and referring on others to specialist staff within Student Central and the College as a whole To facilitate cross College enrichment activities and act as a first point of contact for external agencies To deal with student and potential student enquiries about sources of financial support To work in the student recreation areas to enable students to make safe and appropriate use of the facilities To offer information and support to international students The role requires an individual who has well developed organisational, communication and team working skills. They must also be able to meet targets and deadlines. The role is for 22 hours per week, 40 weeks per year.
