THE ROLE Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will have primary responsibility for financial reporting within Rated People, aiding the Financial Controller with a wide range of finance and accounting activities, with the opportunity to assume a greater degree of responsibility over time and growth with the business. Daily responsibilities include: End to end preparation of monthly management accounts within tight month end deadlines; Completion of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis; Working with departmental heads on monthly numbers and forecasts, monitoring actual spend against budget and reporting on any expenditure variances; Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly re-forecasts; Managing Accounts Payable Cash & credit card expense processing; Preparation of financial reporting for external stakeholders; On-going report and process development; Any other ad-hoc duties as required. Process improvement ABOUT YOU This role is perfect for someone who has experience working in a startup environment or is looking to join a high growth, fast paced market leader. We are looking for someone who is passionate about finance and accounting, with good excel skills and excellent attention to detail. Part qualified management accountant, continuing with their studies; Previous Management Accounting experience (Would be preferred); Great communicator, able to translate finance jargon to non-finance staff members and have the confidence to liaise with senior staff members; Self-starter with strong dedication to the development of finance functions; A good knowledge of budgets, forecasting and general financial elements; A strong understanding of reconciliations and interpretation of financial information; NICE TO HAVE Either higher education and /or professional experience. Previous management accounting experience would be preferred; Experience of working in a deadline-driven environment; Conscientious and keen to develop; Ideally having experience of working with Xero accounts package.
