Overview

My client is looking for an Accounts Assistant to support the UK Finance team. They will be an essential part of the core transactional team, helping to ensure accuracy and efficiency to meet monthly deadlines. Client Details My client is an established local business based just outside of Thame. They operate in the Manufacturing and Production industry, and are looking for a trainee Accounts Assistant to join their finance function on an initial temporary basis. Description The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for: Accounts Payable Accurately enter invoices on system. Prepare and process monthly BACS payments, reconciling to purchase ledger Create new supplier accounts Reconcile supplier statements Cash & Banking Process ad hoc payments, direct debits and standing orders Authorise and control petty cash transactions Reconcile bank accounts on at least weekly basis Accounts Receivable Providing some assistance and holiday cover for sales invoicing and new customer accounts General Accounting To accurately produce and maintain soft copy and hard copy filing systems Process expense claim forms (Personal & Co Credit Card) Produce Month End Reconciliations relevant to role and act as holiday cover in small team Profile The successful candidate will: Have prior experience in working within Finance Reliable and friendly and happy to work in a small team Good verbal and written communication skills Strong IT and analytical skills. Competent is MS Word, Excel and Outlook Ability to cope with challenging demands and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines Resilience with the ability to work under pressure Has a can-do attitude, inspires others through own positive attitude, energy and passion Job Offer Potential to go permanent Modern spacious offices Parking on site
