Overview

My client based in Thame is looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to support the Head of Transaction Processing in ensuring correct first time invoice processing. The successful candidate will work as AP lead to drive improvement and define correct ways of working, document process and drive for excellence within the AP team. Client Details My client is an established global business operating in the Travel and Tourism industry. They are looking for an Accounts Payable Supervisor to support their growing finance function. Description The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for: The co-ordination and management of the team their activities and their workloads Completing monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations for accounts which are associated to Accounts Payable Hold regular 1:1's and team meetings to maintain open communication within the team To ensure the team process all supplier invoices in a quick and efficient manner, thus reducing queries from customers Produce Monthly Payment Practice Reporting Coach and train less experienced AP team members in better ways of working Review current team structure & responsibilities with a view to making recommendations for improvement Review current payment process with a view to streamline or simplification Design monthly AP compliance, reporting and analysis pack Support the upgrade of AP related infrastructure working with finance systems manager Documentation of end to end AP process covering process & internal control Profile The successful Accounts Payable Supervisor will be: A driven self-starter with excellent attention to detail Immediately available or available on short notice Previous AP supervisory experience including process review and implementation Good knowledge of the SAP accounting system Good Excel skills Job Offer 6 month fixed term contract Parking on site Spacious, modern offices
