Overview

Newlyn are currently looking for experienced Collections Negotiators to join their friendly team based in Northampton . We have a range of permanent contracts and welcome flexible working making this ideal for candidates looking for a roles that fit around term time, or school hours. In return our Collections Negotiators receive a competitive salary starting at £16,320 - £21,000 gross per annum DOE plus OTE up to £35k . You will negotiate payments with debtors to clear and update the files as efficiently as possible, in accordance with agreed business targets. Our full-time shifts are below; Week 1 8.00-3.30 (1 hour unpaid for lunch) Week 2 3.10-9pm plus either Saturday 8-4 or Sunday 11-4 (alternate) Range of flexible options available and may be discussed at interview What you’ll be doing as our Collections Negotiator … - Answer a high volume of calls from debtors, both through inbound and outbound calls and maintain a rapid response according to agreed standards - Negotiate full payment of the debt and fees arranging a repayment schedule to clear the debt within Newlyn guidelines and targets - Control the call so as to retrieve all the relevant information from the caller, enabling efficient management of the file - Correctly extract information from file notes to deal with the calls efficiently - Log information on calls received and maintain detailed and accurate records - Liaise with bailiffs on the status of files when required - Have full understanding of Newlyn’s Telephone and Debt Recovery systems - Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, technique and skills - Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adherence to relevant health and safety procedures - To assist with other office duties when required Our Collections Negotiator have the below skills and experience… - Excellent Call Handling Skills with the ability to remain calm on the telephone, but establish a firm and confident telephone manner - Able to work well under pressure and deal with calls of the nature of the business (Bailiffs) - Team Player with ability to work under own initiative - Sound Decision Making Skills - Basic knowledge of Maths and good keyboard skills - Results orientated with a positive outlook - Good attendance record - Flexibility and Good Interpersonal Skills Our Values Everything we do is shaped by the six Values of Human, Accountable, Passion, People, Integrity, Innovative.
