Your new role The purpose of the Business Intelligence Analyst (SQL Lead) is to support the Business Intelligence Manager in developing business intelligence methodologies and tools and embedding its use throughout the organisation. The post holder will assist in the development of new, bespoke reporting and management information dashboards, making best use of SQL Reporting (and/or other business intelligence tools) across all areas of the business, with a clear focus on analysis of results and trends to provide key business insight. The ability to probe and understand the business' needs and requirements, using large datasets to develop a suite of reports is key to this role. What you'll need to succeed The post holder will have excellent organisational and time management skills to ensure the delivery of multiple, concurrent and varied reports and/or projects to deadline, along with analytical and strong influencing and communication skills. There is also a requirement to be able to provide relevant advice, support, analysis, and forecasting of performance information, as is the assisting in the intelligent use of data; supporting the coordination of accurate, robust, and timely information to a range of audiences including senior management and Board. To write SQL scripts to ensure that the Group's Performance Management Framework is automated, wherever possible. Take a lead role in the development and maintenance of performance dashboards and reports. Experience of using Microsoft tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and SQL Server Integration services (SSIS), and SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS). Sound knowledge of SQL databases, data warehousing and Business Intelligence Track record in the analysis of complex data and scoping reports with an attention to detail. Knowledge of Power BI and developing management information dashboards.
