Overview
A unique role linking mechanical building services engineering with manufacturing you will be joining one of the UK's leading modular housing manufacturers in their purpose built site on the outskirts of Leeds. The homes are produced in sections with all electrical services installed, tested and confirmed as working before the units are taken to site for finally assembly, testing and handover to their owners. Your role will be to produce the designs for the installations for a range of house and apartments that are energy efficient, cost effective, installable, maintainable and have the minimum of environmental impact over the life of the building. You will be working closely with other design disciplines, the manufacturing and installation teams as well as other groups such as marketing giving you a unique and far reaching perspective in to the design and build process. It is important when applying for this post that you are a member of a professional institution, can demonstrate a background of electrical building services design expertise and have a genuine enthusiasm for creating better homes for people to live in. In terms of rewards, there is a 10% of salary car allowance, an exceptional insurances package, substantial pension contribution, on site parking, staff restaurant and a flat organisational structure.
