This is a fantastic opportunity to join this highly diverse group made up of accomplished professionals supported by a highly enthusiastic and rapidly developing team who promote a culture of creativity, independent thinking and teamwork who strive for scientific excellence As the Senior Health Economist - HTA Specialist, you will be an essential member of the team within this group and you will project manage a range of health economics studies including submissions to HTA agencies, development of evidence generation strategies to support market access, development of value messages, primary research with key opinion leaders and conducting analyses of HTA policy. The successful candidate will be a key point of contact for clients, successfully project managing and delivering projects to expected quality, timelines and budget. You will be a driven, dynamic and ambitious professional who is passionate about projects involving the development of high-quality U.K & EU5 health technology assessment submissions. This position will also require you to lead, mentor and develop junior staff in all aspects of health economic research, performing clinical and economic evidence review, synthesis of inputs, and model development. Key Duties & Responsibilities. Managing HTA submissions: point of contact for the client, advising client on strategy and HTA processes, project management, coordinating the team working to develop the components of the submissions (modellers, reviewers, medical writers etc). Study design development and implementation across a variety of therapeutic areas. Conducting reviews of HTA policies/processes to help inform clients’ HTA strategies. Working with leading opinion leaders/academics to develop internal reports for clients and external publications. Organising advisory boards, including content, materials and logistics (with admin support) Organising HTA events (eg conference symposia) including content and logistics (with admin support). Mentoring and training junior staff and developing training materials on health economic methods and HTA processes. Essential Requirements: Higher degree (PhD or MSc) in health economics, health technology assessment (HTA) or market access Minimum of 4 years experience in Health Economics / HTA role within consultancy, industry, or within an HTA agency. You must have experience in developing and managing HTA submissions Comprehensive knowledge of the perspectives and evidence needs of the numerous stakeholders involved in healthcare decision-making, including payers, HTA bodies and regulators particularly across the EU5. A good understanding of the global payer environment, including coverage and reimbursement. Ability to lead members of a project team, providing feedback on tasks completed, ensuring they deliver work of appropriate quality to agreed timelines. Demonstrable ability to foster collaboration among multidisciplinary teams by applying communication and interpersonal skills. A can-do approach to all tasks and commitment to delivering timely high-quality results. Fluency in written and verbal English. Excellent MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel skills. Further training and experience in Health Economic Modelling, Systematic Literature Reviews / Meta Analysis will also give you a distinct advantage in this role.
