Overview

New Admin Officer role available at HM Prison Downview in Sutton. Your new company As a leading supplier to HM Prison service Hays are seeking to recruit an Admin Officer to work at HMP Downview. HMP Downview is a closed category women's Prison based in Sutton. Your new role You will be working within the Works Department on the site of the Prison in Downview. You will be responsible for the smooth operation and running of the office onsite. You will be required to liaise with the Supervisors of the works team to find out what reactive maintenance is required. You will add this to the maintenance work sheets along with the weekly preventative maintenance, so the teams know what work they need to do the following week. Whilst doing this, additional duties will involve answering the phones, completing emails and ensuring the office is well supported. What you'll need to succeed In order to succeed in this role, you will have administrative experience including emails, telephone calls and ad hoc admin duties. Additionally, you will need to be computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft Excel. You must have the ability to work well independently as well as in a team. Previous experience working within a prison is not essential. Security clearance required: All applicants will be subjected to HM Prison Service Security Clearance procedure. This will include a DBS check. You must hold a valid passport or birth certificate & photo driving licence in your current address. All applicants must be able to provide details of 2 satisfactory references, at least one from an ex-employer What you'll get in return Your working hours will be Monday-Thursday 08:30-17:00 and Fridays 08:30-16:00. In return we can offer you an hourly rate of £10.62 Per Hour and weekly pay. You will receive free on site car parking at the Prison in Sutton and support throughout the process and whilst working from a dedicated recruitment consultant.
