Overview

This private, family run 5 bed residential and 4 bed residential care homes for learning disabilities is looking to appoint Support Workers on a full time basis. They are based in Seven Kings, Ilford, Essex (5 minutes walk from Seven Kings Station). They are looking for Support Workers who can provide an exceptionally high level of care and quickly become part of the team. You will assist in meeting the needs and aspirations of people with learning disabilities by using a person centred approach, providing them with encouragement, support and assistance, promoting their social inclusion and promoting their rights and choice under the supervision and direction of the Home Manager/Team Leader to enable people with learning disabilities to live a more independent and fulfilled lives. Ideally for the senior support worker role, you will hold a recognised Level 3 qualification in Health and Social care and have an awareness of the needs of people with learning disabilities with challenging behaviour, Autism, Diabetes, Epilepsy and other Disabilities. For the support worker, role training will be provided. You will be required to work 37.5 hours a week and you need to be available for shifts during the week, weekends and nights when needed. In return, you will receive excellent regular training and supervision. You will be joining a company that encourages progression.
