Job Description We are looking for caring and enthusiastic Support Workers who are passionate about supporting people with a learning disability, to enable the people we support to live as independently as possible in our service in Ilford. We have a full time position for 37.5 hours and a part time position for 20 hours available on a permanent basis. Our supported living service is home to two males and two females aged between 27 - 36 who have learning disabilities. We support them in every day, independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, medication support, finances and support out in the community to the shops or any appointments they may have. There is personal care support needed at this service which varies from prompting to full support with bathing, showering, washing hair, shaving and toileting. The two females will also require use of their wheelchairs if you are going out in the community. The people we support are active and enjoy a wide range of activities such as discos, cinema, meals out, theatre and seeing the sights of London like the London Eye, Sea Life Centre and visiting the museums. As the people we support require assistance 24 hours a day shift patterns include 07.00 - 15.00, 15.00 - 22.00 and sleep in's 22.00 - 07.00. (Sleep in's are combined with a late shift before or an early the next day and are paid additional to your contracted hours).
