Infrastructure Architect £75,000 Circa Manchester Summary: I’m currently working directly with a Technology driven Insurance SME based in Manchester who’re looking to bring in an Infrastructure Architect to be responsible for the current & future condition & strategy Infrastructure Architecture for the organisation. What we’re looking for is an Architect who is happy to take on responsibility in a challenging role taking full ownership of the infrastructure collaborating closely with the Head of Architect and Group Security. The key responsibilities and what we need from the Infrastructure Architect: - You need to have experience of taking full ownership of a business’s Infrastructure as in this business the company are very much a flat structure. Here you will take complete ownership of all Infrastructure Architect so we need an all-round expert. Candidates must be technically well-rounded and have a strong solutions focus. - My client is currently embarking on a cloud journey in Azure. This role offers you the chance to help influence the cloud strategy in a growing SME insurance organisation. - Good communication skills are required for this role as we’re looking for a technical and non-technical communicator who is able to converse to stakeholders describing outcomes in a commercial mind when talking to non-technical people. This role, although hands on, offers you the chance to collaborate with various levels of stakeholders providing you with full scope of IT strategy. The Infrastructure Architect in effect operates as an Internal Consultant. - Experience successfully keeping within RTO or RPO is key as in a high pressured and competitive market downtime can be critical. Skills: - TOGAF is desirable however, my client is offering you with the chance to learn on the job the certification. - Cloud based technology experience is required (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) - Strong Experience with the Microsoft Stack is essential (MCSA, MCTS, MCSE etc) ideally within Cloud and SQL Server. - Network certifications (CCNA etc) would be highly beneficial. - Any Insurance or Financial Services experience would be a bonus Why would you work here?
