Overview
An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join a growing international services business based in Coulsdon, Surrey. This is an urgent requirement, and as such the hiring process will be conducted remotely, ensuring social distancing measures are adhered too. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this is new role for the business, so a great time to join and make an impact. Key responsibilities include: Produce monthly management accounts and narratives Take ownership of accruals and prepayments Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts Prepare and review of quarterly VAT returns to be submitted to external accountants. Review payment runs as prepared by finance operations Assist with periodic financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, budgets, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries Bank reconciliation of statements, preparing cash book Completion of VAT and other returns as required Processing monthly payroll journals Provide audit support with financial records, reports and other supporting documentation to auditors, give procedural walkthroughs and other assistance as required Collecting ad hoc information for specific purposes or reports, providing relevant information on-demand Applicants must be ideally be qualified ACA/CIMA or ACCA (or overseas equialent or QBE) and have used Netsuite, which the business is currently implementing. In the first year you will play a key role in helping with the design, testing and implementation of a whole new raft of controls and processes including an implementation of NetSuite. The opportunity to put in place best practice and not be reliant upon legacy systems. This will be broad role and for the right person an excellent opportunity.
