As a Senior Planner in the Midlands Division you will play a critical role in enabling the business to build the right type of properties in the most sustainable and appealing locations for our future homeowners. Your new role As a Senior Planner you will be providing professional planning support and assistance to the Midlands Division in advising on site acquisition, the maximisation of development opportunities and the securing of planning permissions as efficiently as possible across sites in the Midlands and East Anglia. You will work closely with land and development teams to devise and progress planning strategies for new schemes; assist the Division in the preparation, submission and negotiation of projects for planning permission and be responsible for liaising with a range of stakeholders throughout the planning process. You will also provide advice on Section 106 Obligations, planning conditions, planning legislation and other matters affecting the divisions planning objectives and assist in the preparation of appeals. The Midlands Division have offices in Kettering and Coventry and there is flexibility as to which location this role will be based. What you'll need to succeed As a Senior Planner you will have worked for a council, consultancy or developer covering surveying sites, liaising with local authorities, developing planning applications and working with the wider team to ensure projects get the go-ahead. You will have an RTPI qualification or be working towards one and have excellent communication skills as you will be meeting stakeholders and public on a regular basis.
