Overview

Job Purpose Based in Corsham, Wiltshire we are looking for a full time permanent Painter and decorator/ handyman to carry out reactive and general building maintenance tasks. Working in a dedicated team, driven to deliver an outstanding service to our clients and customers You will need to be adaptable, motivated and able to prioritise workloads. Working hours 08.00 – 16.30 Hrs Monday to Friday This Job Description is not exhaustive and other duties and responsibilities of a similar level and nature may be required from time to time. Responsibilities To undertake Painting and decorating tasks To carry out Maintenance duties as requested, maintaining internal and external building fabrics and grounds. To carry out routine checks on plant and equipment to ensure optimum conditions are achieved. To assist in life cycle decorating works To carry out reactive and routine tasks Address any acute internal issues for example blocked drains, toilets, replacement of light bulbs and lamps, address faulty locks and door function, Door inspections and minor maintenance. Reporting of breakdowns/faults. Be aware of the business continuity plan for the part of the business you work in. Ensure all equipment is maintained, reporting to Line Management any items that may require attention. Attend team meetings as requested by your Line Manager. Ensure compliance of all QSHE/guidelines. Person Painting & Decorating experience Previous experience as a Building maintenance operative/ handy person. Manual Handling ability. Able to work in a demanding and busy area. Flexible/Adaptable in approach to work. Friendly and approachable manner. Proactive approach to work. Ability to work on their own with minimal supervision. Sets and maintains very high standards of delivery – attention to detail essential. Driven to complete tasks above expectations. Ability to carry out minor repairs to furniture MOD security clearance will be required with this role (proof of right to work in UK essential). Team player and able to work on own initiative.
