Overview
The Company We are supporting an fantastic business based in the centre of Newcastle with the recruitment of 2 Test Leads. The roles will join a large and well established, multi-discipline IT department who are developing and supporting a range of web and mobile based applications. The QA team are responsible for managing, and continually improving, the quality of software developed whilst also contributing to new product and service design. The Role As Test Lead you will be responsible for playing a key role in driving standards in the team Working on the implementation of automated testing tools and techniques as the company move away from a manual approach to testing Helping with planning and allocation of work across the team Hands on testing, using manual and automated tools Contributing to the creation of user stories and defining acceptance criteria, working with the Product Owners, as well as assisting in agile and scrum activities with the wider development team The Person We're looking for an experienced Test Lead with a passion for both manual and automated testing techniques and methodologies, alongside excellent leadership skills. You will have the ability to challenge effectively and constructively, whilst driving continuous improvement, both personally and for your team. As an experienced Tester, you will possess a strong knowledge of manual and automated testing techniques and methodologies along with, automated software testing tools (Selenium, Cucumber etc.) You will have sound knowledge of agile project methodologies (Scrum, Kanban or XP etc), and be passionate about attention to detail. You'll be an excellent communicator, risk aware and self-motived, with a positive approach to leadership and team work. The role will come with salary of up to £43,000 and excellent benefits including generous holiday allowance and pension scheme in addition to bonus scheme
