Job Description Job Description - SENIOR CARE ASSISTANT Exciting opportunities have arisen for Senior Care Assistant to join The Firs Care Home, a leading care provider based in Sedgley, Nr Dudley. In return, we offer a competitive pay rate of £10.00 per hour plus £1.00 an hour for extra none contracted shifts. The successful candidates will receive free mandatory training, free uniform, holiday entitlement and free onsite parking. We have full time and part-time positions available, staff work a weekend on weekend off basis. The Senior Care Assistant will report to the Care Manager and will be responsible for all aspects of the physical and emotional care of clients and to provide leadership of the team. The role will also involve providing close liaison with professional agents. Duties will include: To take responsibility for the home and ensure it meets company objectives in the absence of the Care Manager To administer and record medication as and when required in accordance to the Medication Policy To give a daily report to the person in charge at the end of each shift concerning the care delivered to the residents noting any changes To maintain liaison with professionals in a multi-agency approach To provide supervision and support to the staff team To participate in the planning of care programmes and the preparation of care review reports To assess the care practice of all staff ensuring the homes objectives are met To supervise and be involved in all aspects of the holistic care of the resident group To maintain administration and monitoring systems which comply with legal requirements To ensure compliance of all company policies and procedures To work flexible hours to meet the needs of the home To participate in the ‘on call’ system where necessary To attend staff training courses and meetings The successful Senior Care Assistant will have: Medication Experience and all the relevant certification. Own Transport or ability to get to work, public transport is present.
