Overview

Are you looking night-time work? Part-time, two shifts a week? Could you support people with learning disabilities through the night? You'll join us as a Waking Nights Support Worker , working part-time 20 hours per week, in one of our services in Overpool, Ellesmere Port . This will be covering two shifts a week. Outline In this supported living accommodation, we provide 24/7 support to four people (aged between 40-66 years young) to live lives that make sense to them. The days are packed with a variety of hobbies and activities including; going to the cinema, visiting parks, garden centres, discos, eating out or socialising with family and friends. One person may shout when upset and another person we support has mental health issues but you will be provided with full training and support from day one so you understand how best to approach any situations should any arise during the night. You will be available during the night to provide physical support and emotional assurance if the people we support are wakeful; checking at regular intervals to ensure they are comfortable and getting a good night's sleep ready for the next day. They're quite an active bunch during the day so sometimes they'll just need to talk things through with the night team before settling for the night. We will provide you with full training and with help and advice from your Frontline Manager (Head of Service).
