Overview

Do you want to work Nights? Ever thought about being there for people with Learning Disabilities? Being there for others and providing emotional reassurance overnight is more rewarding than you think MacIntyre Care is an award-winning national charity supporting people with autism and learning disabilities and we’re now hiring an experienced or non-experienced Waking Nights Support Worker at Ellesmere Port. What will I be doing? You will be available during the night to provide physical support and emotional reassurance when the people we support at this service are wakeful; checking at regular intervals to ensure they are comfortable and getting a good night's sleep ready for the next day. They're quite an active bunch during the day so sometimes they'll just need to talk things through with the night team before settling for the night. Night work can be demanding and doesn't suit everyone, but if it's right for you, you'll find it incredibly rewarding and valuable. We will provide you with full training and with help and advice from your Frontline Manager (Head of Service). You will be covering shifts of 9pm to 9am. Who will this suit? Firstly, you don’t need experience to become a Support Worker but it’s not easy. The work can be demanding and challenging at times but no 2 days are the same and the reward of seeing YOUR personal impact is incredibly inspiring and it's something you'll never forget. As long as you have the passion and drive to want to make a real difference, we’ll teach you the rest. With your key attributes and our training, together we can deliver the best possible support. Who are MacIntyre? We are an Award winning Charity that has the core belief that everyone has potential, something to offer and a valuable contribution to make to their community.
