Overview

HIghbridge Resourcing are currently seeking a Support Worker to work with adults with learning and physical disabilities at the weekend ONLY. This is a permanent opportunity that will require you to work Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The shift patterns are 0700-15:15 and 1500-23:00. Sleep-in duty will also be required and pays £25.00 per sleep in. The service is rated GOOD by CQC and is based in Sutton Coldfield. It provides short breaks for adults with learning and physical disabilities and complex needs in a respite care home. As a Support Worker, you will offer care and support to the adults who use the service and will be responsible for their physical and mental well-being. You will be supporting adults aged 19 years upwards with very complex needs whether they use the service either for day care or overnight stays. Hoisting and personal care will also be required. The ideal candidate will: Have experience working in a residential care setting Have the level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (unqualified will also be considered based on experience) Have excellent communication skills – written and verbal Be prepared to work in a changing environment – this is a respite service, so changes occur frequently.
