Overview
Lead Data Engineer - GCP - London - up to £120,000 I'm looking to speak with experienced Data Engineers that are looking to take on a new challenge with an international data and analytics consulting business. Your role will be focused on leading and delivering migration projects which take data assets and tools from legacy platforms and systems into Google Cloud Platform. Alongside leading the team, you will also be a centre of expertise for the client, acting as mentor and offering expert consultancy throughout the project. You'll be leading a team on 10 working on client site in West London. Please note, this is a requirement therefore remote working will not be possible for this role. The project does have a heavy focus around using Google Cloud Platform and as an extra benefit this company will provide you with the opportunity to complete your own certification in GCP if you so wish. Your responsibilities will include: Encourage utilization of cloud data and analytics services solutions Liaise with senior stakeholders and decision makers that are looking into adopting cloud data solutions for their business to solve current issues Adopt a comprehensive view of the clients existing data landscape in order to map out business goals and requirements for cloud-based architecture and data technology solutions Build robust and scalable data processing and analytics solutions. This includes updates on feasibility and proposals for Big Data storage, processing and consumption Lead on the design and coordinate development of proof of concepts and prototypes Guide the team on project delivery throughout from launch to market Working closely with clients to establish a relationship of trust and guidance so you may become a centre of expertise around technical solutions, infrastructure and applications Requirements Demonstrable experience in data modelling & data design (both logical and physical) Plenty of experience working with relational databases and exposure and understanding of NoSQL Data Warehousing, OLAP & BI reporting PL/SQL Stored Procedures Strong understanding of data warehouse methodologies (Kimball/Inmon/Data Lakes) Experience in designing Star & Snowflake Schemas and knowledge of Dimensional Data Modelling Plenty of Cloud experience with GCP (Azure & AWS would also be useful) Previous experience successfully designing, building and implementing cloud systems Lead Data Engineer - GCP - London - up to £120,000 This is an urgent role so don't delay in applying or you will miss out Interviews will be held imminently so apply now to be considered Oscar Technology is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
