Job Description
Location: London Type:Full time: Project/ Client: Internal group Lead Cloud Engineer Practitioner (and Architect) with the below mentioned skills and relevant experience in GCP and Azure: * Experience of creating an Engineering practice with scrum based agile development practices * Understanding of, and ability to articulate the challenges of cloud infrastructure and specifically a multi Cloud, Hybrid paradigm for a regulated organization. * Detailed understanding and established partnership with Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform * Awareness of regulatory controls as applied to public cloud implementations for a financial services firm. * Deliver Proof of Concepts for new Solutions on Cloud * Architect, Plan, Configure, Deploy and Operate Cloud solution * Platform Automation in terms of Infrastructure as Code(IaC), Network as Code (NaC), Security as Code (SaC) * Ensure Performance standards by configuring Auto-Scaling Solution to meet varying Load requirements. * Automating the data and code pipelines' build and configuration of IaaS based solutions in Cloud Platform * Good written/Oral Communication, Presentation, Interactive skills with team across geography. * Works well under pressure and meets deadline. * Flexible to work either independently or with team Technology Skills (agnostic to Cloud Service Provider): * Experience hosting an application on Azure / GCP using Virtual Machines, Kubernetes, MySQL, Cloud Storage etc * Networking principles and protocols such as IP subnetting, routing, firewall rules, Virtual Private Cloud, LoadBalancer, Cloud DNS, Cloud CDN, etc. * Good understanding of cloud design considerations and limitations and its impact on Pricing. * Proficient in a modern scripting language (Python) for automation of build tasks. * Experience with infrastructure automation and configuration scripting tools such as Terraform, Jinja templates, Ansible * Knowledge of application configuration, monitoring and diagnosing (e.g. using Google Stackdriver) * Experience with Big Data tools (e.g. on GCP - BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataproc, Dataflow) * Prior experience working with: container technology such as Docker, version control systems (Github), build management and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Nexus), and monitoring tools (App Dynamics, etc.) * Preference to Google Cloud Certified candidates e.g. Associate Cloud Engineer, Professional Data Engineer, Professional Cloud Architect
