Group Risk Claims Assessor Location: Bristol Salary: £26,000-£39,000 The Company: We are working with a leading Group Risk Provider in the Bristol area who are looking to add Claims Assessors to their established and successful Bristol team. This business is a great company to work for offering a solid remuneration package, benefits and career prospects within the group. The Role: Working within your authority levels you will manage Health claims and the employees / claimants in their rehabilitation, aiming to return these members of staff to work safely at the earliest opportunity. Following company procedures, accurately checking eligibility, financial liability, validity and appraisal of both medical and nonmedical information, progressing to full claims assessment. This is a customer focused role which will involve the collection of medical information and liaison with medical representatives such as nurses to ensure a speedy recovery to work for the claimant. Dealing with sensitive information you will need to liaise with multiple parties involved with the claims process, ensuring compliance and regulatory standards are hit. The Required Skills: Ideally you will have exposure to Assessing Claims and exposure and an understanding of medical information and interpreting GP notes would be an advantage A background in Employee Benefits / Group Risk or Individual Protection Claims (Critical Illness, Life, Income Protection etc) You will need to have excellent communication and customer service skills with an engaging and empathetic approach Attention to detail and good note taking skills The ability to handle difficult or contentious matters Referral Fee - Interested in earning yourself a bonus for putting us in touch with someone you feel is suitable for this role?
