Overview

Job Purpose ECC Adult Social Care, through effective practice, is going through a transformational shift from a focus on long-term care support, to a model with four key principles: - prevention; early intervention; enablement and safeguarding. This will enable people, their families and carers to be able to access information and tools to live healthily and independently. Providing an opportunity to respond pro-actively to growing service demand in a sustainable way, within the financial constraints of the Council. The Analyst will support the Quality Assurance team to embed quality practice across the function. Working with Practice Leads and the Team Manager, to deliver tools, guidance and maintenance of the practice library, Business Continuity and Health & Safety. The role is responsible for the delivery of a busy audit portfolio to a consistently excellent standard and provision of a high quality social care to adults in Essex. The role is responsible for audit activity that responds to emerging themes to develop practice improvement. Knowledge of quality assurance activities and development of tracking systems are the key parts of this role. Service/Functional Accountabilities Responsible for supporting the ongoing development and implementation of audit processes. Responsible for creating and maintaining audit service plans, sustaining and improving standards to continually improve practice and provide outstanding service delivery. Responsible for coordinating the Adult Social Care Multi-Agency Case Audit (MACA) work, accurately analysing data and identifying key lines of enquiry for the MACA sessions. Tracking recommendations from MACA's and delivering insight to support decision making and practice improvement. Building relationships with internal teams and multi-agency partners through effective and regular communication, supporting compliance and encouraging strong engagement. Leading on evaluating and analysing audit data to produce management information reports across all levels in ASC. Works collaboratively with Practice Leads to identify key themes and trends to support continuous practice improvement. Responsible for the preparation and dissemination of themes and trends from audit findings, through learning bulletins, digital platforms, workshops and presentations to support the raising of practice standards. Work collaboratively to develop and deliver audit programmes targeting specific themes and trends. Support Adult Social Care to deliver a countywide function of Business Continuity and Health and Safety. Specific individual and shared targets and objectives are defined annually within the performance management framework. Knowledge, Skills and Experience Educated to RQF level 6 (Bachelor's degree) or alternative professional qualification, or by equivalent experience. Evidence of continuing professional development and knowledge of relevant professional area. Experience of Quality Assurance and evidence of supporting successfully delivery of improvements. Experience of delivering high level customer service in a complex environment. Experience of working with a wide range of partners with skills in understanding and responding to different and/or cross organisational perspectives. Excellent data management and analysis skills with ability to identify key themes and trends. Theoretical and working knowledge of IT programs (including Excel and Databases). Evidence of ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external partners to deliver shared objectives. The role requires you to be mobile throughout a wider operational area including travelling around the county of Essex and beyond, transporting service users and their belongings and to be able to do so in an emergency. Driving licence and car or the ability to meet the mobility requirements of the role through other means is essential.
