Claims & Compliance Officer job in Darlington Your new company This not for profit organisation has a need for an experienced Finance Officer to provide interim cover for around 4 weeks. Your new role Main duties and responsibilities: Completing funding claims to deadlines in accordance with contractual requirements Undertake activities in relation to the implementation of claims and monitoring systems to support the delivery of the SFTV programme Collecting and auditing all all evidence from the SFTV teams to support monthly claims for timesheets, mileage forms, salary information and participant expenditure Extract financial reports on an ongoing basis to identify claimable and un-claimable expenditure for each monthly claim. This will include collating additional evidence within the form of bank statements, invoices etc. Ongoing compliance checking of financial and participant data/information to ensure all evidence is compliant with contractual requirements Identify evidence gaps and collect further evidence accordingly to ensure full compliance Perform regular participant file audits within the SFTV Stockton, Hartlepool and Darlington offices (Hubs) Work closely with the hub admins of each office providing support and advice Responsibility for management and reconciliation of the petty cash for all Hubs. Complete monthly Information Governance audits in Stockton, Hartlepool and Darlington Liase with and provide support and guidance to other departments and the delivery teams regarding compliance with ESF/BBO guidance Produce and maintain contractual templates and forms to ensure seamless communication between Humankind and the Lead Partner Using the programmes MIS to cross check against financial claims and ensure compliance Support the preparation of monitoring reports, financial and performance for the SFTV programme Maintain robust and secure evidence storage systems, complying with audit requirements to support internal and external audits To establish and maintain effective working relationships with NIC and all SFTV delivery teams within Stockton, Hartlepool and Darlington Maintain excellent communication with all teams to ensure all guidance or contractual updates are shared and implemented accordingly What you'll need to succeed The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working within the charitable / not for profit sector and be available for an immediate start.
