Photolith Process Engineer Eden Scott's client is an independent high tech manufacturer providing products and services for many industries throughout the world. Due to continued growth and success they now have the requirement for a Process Engineer to join the organisation on a permanent basis in their Glasgow based site. Reporting into the Operations Manager, the position will involve bringing up new production capability to allow the business to deliver singulated laser diodes on a dicing tape output format to customer specifications. Role - Own and deliver improvements in assigned process / equipment responsibilities. Project manage new processes in conjunction with Development Engineering. Develop, from concept through qualification to production new photolithography processes using Mask Aligner and Stepper and other associated processing equipment and metrology. Ensure engineering documentation and procedures conform with ISO 9001 and most demanding customer requirements. Work as part of Operations team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products. Publish technical literature and reports in relation to process innovations and be primary link with internal and external product design as appropriate. Manage process to suitable production release for inclusion into the company process library. Responsibilities - Establish continuous improvement of parametric and mechanical yields by process characterisation, champion and drive best practices, and application of effective SPC, GR&R and other lean tools & techniques. Take ownership for process equipment and report KPI's. Manage and execute assigned projects. Identify opportunities for improvement in process efficiency & effectiveness, establish action plan and drive to conclusion using established protocols such as change control. Experience - Qualified to at least degree level with at least 5 years' experience in semiconductor manufacturing. Experience of developing photolithography process modules, experience of other process disciplines would be an advantage. Experience of manual mask aligners would be advantageous.
