Overview
My client, a leading SaaS solution provider in the trading and brokerage market, is looking to bring on a Senior DevOps Engineer to work on the build out of their messaging platform. The business are currently heavily investing in their innovative product offering, one example being the messaging platform. The global business is around 500 strong and this role sits in their newly formed EMEA headquarters near St Pauls. The DevOps Engineer will sit in a small, elite team ensuring the seamless delivery of the messaging platform with regards to development/testing environments and production systems therein which are highly scalable and robust. Working with cutting edge technology in a collaborative environment, the DevOps piece is integral to the formation of the overall product, focusing on scalability, automation and solution development. Technologies in Use: Big Data Technology (Cassandra, Zookeeper, Hadoop, Kafka) Deployment Automation (Puppet, Fabric, Ansible) Continuous Integration Systems (Jenkins, Bamboo) Build Management Tools (Git, Maven) Scripting (Python, Ruby, Perl, Bash) Required: Proven experience in DevOps/SRE engineer position Coding skills - Python, Java or C# Practical knowledge of threading, OOP Git Linux experience RDBS, and NoSQL DBs Ansible - Puppet Docker or other for containerisation Load balancing tools such as HA-Proxy, Nginx or F5 This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/89845218
