Overview

Job Title: Senior Electronics Test Engineer Salary & Benefits: Up to £30,000 plus Benefits package Location: Dartford, Kent Electronics manufacturing company seek a qualified Senior Electronics Test Engineer, with a high level of experience within the electronics manufacturing and test environment, who can cover a wide range of test procedures. This will include the production testing, verification and fault-finding of all in-house products at appropriate stages of the manufacturing process. Senior Electronics Test Engineer Requirements: Minimum ONC/HNC in Electronic Engineering, or equivalent experience High level of experience within electronic manufacturing and test environment Thorough understanding of test methodologies Excellent familiarity with basic and advanced electronic components and their in-circuit functionality To be very competent in the reading of and interpretation of circuit diagrams, with respect to PCB assemblies and systems High level of fault-finding ability - to be able to fault-find down to discreet component level, and assist other test staff Ability to use basic test equipment - e.g. digital multimeters, oscilloscope, bench power supplies etc Ability to use more advanced test equipment - e.g. spectrum analysers, network analysers, function generators etc Senior Electronics Test Engineer Responsibilities: To test assemblies in accordance with written test procedures and achieve production delivery targets To be able to diagnose any faults on assemblies down to a discreet component level Review problem/persistent failures, and report findings to generate preventative actions Experience of RF Testing and Fault-finding of Power Amplifiers (VHF/UHF range) would be an advantage Experience of Testing & Fault-finding on Switch Mode Power Supply units is desirable Flying Probe Machine training will be given To follow instructions as indicated on BOM and route cards To understand IPC standards with regard to own area To actively participate in the company's Continuous Improvement programme Assist and mentor junior test staff with regards to testing and fault-finding of products If you would like to be considered for this Senior Electronics Test Engineer position, please click on Apply now to get in touch.
