Overview
Quality Inspector required for a client based in the Glasgow area. My client are a very well established manufacturer, working within subcontract precision engineering, supplying specialised components to a number of industries such as oil and gas and aerospace. They are now looking to recruit an experienced CMM Quality Inspector to join their growing team. It is envisaged that the successful candidate will have previous experience working in a CMM / Quality Inspection role, and it is essential for this position that the candidate is aware of ISO 9001 and able to program CMM using Zeiss and Leitz . Quality Inspector Position Overview Operating CMM machinery to inspect newly produced components to ensure they meet quality standards. Programming Zeiss and Leitz CMM machinery using PCDMIS or CALYPSO Inspecting parts & assemblies sourced externally against design specifications, technical drawings and relevant documentation Carrying out first off inspections and in-process inspections Ensuring all non-conforming items are segregated from good product Creating reports and scrap notifications Supporting the departments during customer complaint investigations Inspecting parts across the production department Complying to the companies ISO 9001 accredited quality management system on a daily basis Quality Inspector Position Requirements Excellent knowledge of inspection methodology Knowledge of ISO9100 Quality Standards. Previous experience running and programming CMM using PC-DMIS Proven ability to read technical drawings and understand tolerances Ability to use a range of hand held inspection instruments Full UK Driving License Quality Inspector Position Remuneration £27,000 - £32,000 - Dependant upon Experience Working hours Monday to Friday 40 hours per week Day shifts (some shift patterns depending on company requirements) Shift allowances at time and a third Over time paid Monday to Saturday time and a half / Sunday double time 28 Days Holiday (Inc BH) Pension We, Bennett and Game Recruitment, a technical recruitment agency based in Chichester are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
