Overview

The Opportunity: Nigel Wright Recruitment has been appointed as the retained partner to Deep Sea Electronics for the recruitment of a strategic level Group Product Marketing Manager. The position will hold full P L accountability for the four Company product lines and will report into the Group Commercial Director. As well as holding responsibility for the brand and product marketing strategy, the post holder will have direct line management responsibility for managers in the sales, technical support and marketing functions (4 direct reports and functional responsibility for a total of circa 25 heads). This is a fantastic leadership opportunity in a high growth, high margin business which operates globally and invests in technology and research and development to maintain its brand leadership in its markets. The Role: Working at strategic level with the Group CEO and Group Commercial Director to effectively develop and position the global brand and product marketing strategy. Supporting the board with future planning for both organic and acquisition driven growth. Developing engaging 'business to business' marketing programs that will reach target audiences for each product and drive an increase in sales revenue. Working cross-functionally to establish timescales for upcoming product launches, influencing pricing, guiding sales teams and developing messaging and market positioning. Acting as the advocate of the customer providing the global sales force with the information it requires to advance product sales. Being the champion for new product innovations, having a fundamental role in developing future growth, providing vision, direction and leadership. The role will be heavily data driven and analytical including market research, product performance analysis / tracking and competitor analysis to enable effective business decision making based on comprehensive business intelligence. Operating as a leader across the business and being approachable to staff at all levels from all functions within the business. Person Specification: At least 5 years product / brand management experience within industrial B2B, ideally electronic control or automation products. Demonstratable success in developing comprehensive business development and growth strategies. Experience developing and launching new products for market including definition of concepts, positioning, features, benefits and pricing. Ability to understand customer needs, user experiences and market research and translating these into successful programs, new product offerings and product improvements. Demonstratable success managing multiple projects and working across disciplines to execute. A desire for and the ability to travel internationally - there is an estimated 30% travel involved in this position.
