Job Title: Senior/Lead Java Software Developer Salary: £80,000-100,000 Location: London (Zone 1) Would you be interested in helping to establish a new tech team in London without the risk of a start up? We are recruiting for a renowned international consultancy that are going through an exciting phase of expansion as they start tech teams both here in London and also in Amsterdam. They offer the chance to join an established company that are building a new team here, which means you can have a huge impact on from day 1 They have active projects that are waiting to started and some that have already started, so there will be no time spent on the bench Along side pure development you’ll get involved in architectural design for a number of key Greenfield projects using modern technologies like Java 11, Spring, AWS, Docker, Terraform, and Kubernetes. There will be some client facing elements to the role but they don’t believe that their developers should be bogged down with line management style responsibilities and endless meetings; you’ll work with technical teams only while on customer engagements. Our client believe in a good work life balance and can offer flexibility to work from home where possible, which is very rare for a consultancy. Essential requirements Strong Java Skills Experience contributing to architectural design Interest in Leading project based work Knowledge and experience following industry best practices (TDD, SOLID etc) Experience mentoring/coaching less senior people Bonus requirements: Hands on team leadership experience Willing to code across the full stack Experience using AWS Past consultancy/client facing experience Polyglot skills using Scala, C#, C++. . . .
