Quantity Surveyor

Conrad Consulting is looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to join our award winning house building client on permanent basis. Our client has made massive strides in Scotland recently, with the acquisition and take off of a number of new developments within Edinburgh & the surrounding Lothians. Being an integral part of the commercial team and reporting into the Senior team including the Commercial Director, our client is looking for a candidate who has demonstrable experience in a similar role ideally within residential house building although wider construction backgrounds will be considered, and who can comfortably work on their own initiative and collaborate well with the wider commercial function. Day to Day Prepare forecasts of cost and value of all trades Report on savings and excesses against budget costs Report on any business development opportunities Effective management of supply chain partners Assist in the preparation and submission of tenders Allocating upcoming work to contractors whilst improving existing relationships Identify, control and report on project costs Ability to prepare reports and collate information Requirements of the Quantity Surveyor 3-5 years Quantity Surveying experience Ability to use initiative and resolve problems Effective time management capabilities Excellent organisational skills Comprehensive and up to date knowledge of building and health & safety legislation Call me now to discuss in more detail on .
