CALLING ALL FUTURE GRADUATES South West London Primary School Primary School September 2020 Start Full time, paid role Whole academic year - September 2020 to July 2021 DBS - can be organised via Academics Great opportunity to further experience before School's Direct, PGCE, SCITT training APPLY NOW TO BE CONSIDERED A South West London Primary School is seeking Graduates to begin in September in Support positions. Graduates need to be driven , motivated and passionate about working with children in these long term roles, as the positions will provide fantastic experience before teacher training. You will need to feel confident working across Key Stage 1 and 2 working with multiple year groups supporting students on 1:1 and group basis. Graduates from this academic year are currently working within the School and have found this placement to be something that is hugely beneficial to their future careers. Working across age ranges a Graduate support staff member will be expected to assist the set-up of activities, the safeguarding of children and above all extra support during classes. Some students will require a more 1:1 approach so a Graduate can begin to understand the different teaching strategies children require. There could also be elements of behavioural management, working with children who could be disruptive or challenging. A Graduate will be able to view how the Teacher deals with this in class and the strategies implemented to ensure that each child learns to the best of their ability. Having some previous experience working with children is ideal for this role. As Graduates will be offered great training and support an abundance of experience is not required, however a passion to work with children and basic foundation of child interaction and education is essential. If you feel that as a Graduate you need to gain experience in a classroom before going on to complete a School's Direct placement, PGCE or SCITT then please enquire. The School will be looking to meet with Graduates as soon as they have graduated so registering with Academics now is the first step. DBS applications and vetting will need to be carried out, and something Academics offers to complete for you so meeting with a Consultant sooner rather than later is advised. As this School will be looking to meet with people before September, please apply ASAP to register with Academics so we can begin the process of arranging this and beginning compliance checks.
