Senior Biology Technician Starting salary £35,090 rising to £39,680 inclusive of London Weighting Permanent, Full time Good employment benefits including competitive pension scheme The City of London School sits on the banks of the River Thames. It is an HMC independent boys’ day school for ages 10–18, with over 920 boys. It is part of a family of schools owned and sponsored by the City of London Corporation. The main purpose of this role will be supplying the necessary teaching materials to classrooms on a daily basis as and when required along with the responsibility for maintaining the materials and equipment of the laboratories and preparation room to ensure their safe, efficient and effective use. The Senior Biology Technician will also be responsible for line management of the other Biology Technician in the department. The successful candidate will have experience of working in a science laboratory, ideally working to a GCSE and A Level standard. Previous experience in ordering, stock control and account management and a strong understanding of Health and Safety within a school environment are also highly desirable. You will be working within a wider team of six technicians across the science department. The Biology department is a friendly and hardworking department of five teachers and there are two technicians working within each science discipline.
