Overview

Reinsurance Claims Associate City of London 12 month FTC £35,000 to £50,000 A leading Reinsurance intermediary and strategic advisor to leading insurance and reinsurance organisations, delivering integrated solutions through its industry-leading analytics and advisory services, highly specialised product knowledge and trading relationships with reinsurance markets around the world. We are currently seeking experienced Reinsurance Claims Recoveries specialist to join dedicated team that support global clients through transactional processing, securing reinsurance recoveries and through timely and accurate system entry. Key Duties: Manage an assigned client portfolio, taking full responsibility for the all claims matters in respect of Excess of Loss recoveries. Manage an assigned client portfolio, taking full responsibility of technical duties relating to client accounts, premiums and claims. Also covering excess of loss and pro rata business or alternatively binder and facultative risks types. Assess and submit client and/or reinsurer presentation materials and communications Work with IBA to assist with collection of funds Manage all brokerage receivables, funding, retention, e-trading, post booking receipt, ad hoc reporting requests, payment of funds and all management and transactional process steps Build and maintain close relationships with clients - cedant insurers and intermediaries. Oversee and co-ordinate an off shore processing team. Ensuring claims are attached to correct treaty, reinsurers are notified and collections executed. Assess and submit client and/or reinsurer presentation materials and communications Work with the accounting division to assist with collection and transfer of funds Promote, build and maintain relationships with Brokers, Clients and Markets. Understand issues, resolve problems and queries and review working practices Understand issues, resolve problems and queries and review working practices Skills & Qualifications XOL Reinsurance Claims Recoveries, ideally from a broker background. Significant experience of working within a technical capacity for a Broker and/or Underwriter, either within the Insurance or Reinsurance sectors Must have use of ECF and experience of Claims in the Lloyds Market.
