With a CQC rating of GOOD across all 5 Key Lines of Enquiry, you would be working in a forward thinking hospital supporting our patients recovery alongside a highly skilled and dedicated Multi-Disciplinary Team. We are now recruiting for active and enthusiastic individuals to join our nursing team as Activity & Support Workers at Priory Hospital Burgess Hill This role is vital in supporting both our Occupational Therapy and Nursing teams with the assessment, planning and implementation of patient care and activities both on and off site. The role will rotate over 7 days (which overs weekends and bank holidays), and you will be working 5 days per week. The shift times are below: - 7am - 3pm - 9am - 5pm - 2pm - 10pm As a support worker your role and duties will include: - Developing and maintaining a good professional relationship with patients, colleagues and visitors responding promptly and courteously to requests and enquiries - Promoting and facilitating the delivery of on ward and off ward activities which may be both nursing or OT team led. Attention will be given to those areas where there are additional pressures and acuity - To act as a PMVA response team for the hospital where required - To facilitate escorts in the community for the purpose of therapeutic activities, hospital appointments and any other task deemed required - Assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed to facilitate the wellbeing, dignity and treatment of all patients - Provide specific interventions with patients as delegated by a Registered Nurse, and following training and competency attainment.
