Overview
The role of a Care Assistant at Helping Hands is varied and largely depends on the customer you’ll be working with. Everything we do is designed to help our customers live happy, independent live Providing personal care duties and administering medication Promoting customer health and well-being, enabling them to live their life to the full Supporting clients with their personal hygiene (washing, dressing, toileting, etc.) Recording and reporting in our clients care plans/ daily record sheets. Understand person-centred care and can demonstrate treating people as individuals and respecting choices Support people to maintain their relationships and connections with the local community Key Skills/Experience Required: Update DBS check / willing to undergo a DBS check Ideally minimum of 12 months experience in a Care Home with Vulnerable Adults or similar setting Caring & compassionate with an excellent clinical track record Ability to make well informed decisions based on all available relevant information Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build good relationships with a range of clients Good written communication skills with a strong attention to detail
