Application Reliability Engineer (SRE) We are seeking Site or Application Reliability Engineers with experience in application monitoring, automation and support to join a Times Top 20 'best company to work for', as they expand their SRE group responsible for the smooth running and continual improvement of complex enterprise scale applications and systems. As the Application Reliability Engineer you will monitor, support and improve highly available applications and platforms, ensuring CI is at the heart of app deployments and change, improving monitoring tooling and automating as many processes as possible. Maintaining and improving application performance will be a key part of the position. We are seeking an Application Reliability Engineer with; Strong Middleware and/or application support and performance monitoring background, preferably with Java based applications, Websphere, Tomcat or Apache Good knowledge of database technologies (open to tech, preferably SQL or Oracle) and any exposure to ETL tooling and performance tuning would be beneficial Ability to monitor and automate complex application environments Whilst technical, you will also be involved in the cultural and process evolution within the platform and application environment; improving processes between Reliability, DevOps, Engineering and Platform teams, reviewing future tech for implementation whilst having the opportunity to work in a rapidly expanding SRE group working with the latest cloud and container tools. This role would be ideal for those from either SRE or Application Support and Application Development backgrounds.
