The role is based in the Heart of Stoke on Trent and is commutable from Hanley and surrounding areas, Cheshire, Stafford, Biddulph and Congleton. Job Description: The Manufacturing Process Engineer will support the Maintenance and Manufacturing Teams with developing, evaluating, improving and documenting the manufacturing process. The Process Engineer will: Submit detailed proposals for a variety of projects from concept Create and document machine specifications in complete details Construct drawings and process layouts and design jigs and fixtures using AutoCAD Co-ordinate and lead the design, manufacture, installation and commissioning of new equipment and production plans Carry out own analysis as well as utilising the company's current data and metrics to suggest various process improvements Provide focus on cost savings and Continuous Improvement Measures Put together and propose solutions to improve processes and improvements Candidate Requirements: The Process Engineer, whilst required immediately, should have the following experience and skills: Have strong communication skills and understand others points of view to discuss ideas and opportunities Understand what drives cost and maximise resources Have experience working within a manufacturing environment as a Process Engineer or very similar role Must be effective in making decisions and escalating when appropriate whilst also being able to problem solve and review resolution success Be available to travel for business meetings, off site training and other events at short notice on the odd occasion this is warranted Ideally training in Lean, JIT, Six Sigma, Quality Planning, Single Piece Flow, SMED, 5'S The role will also suit the following experience: Maintenance Engineer, Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance, Mechanical Maintenance.
