Overview

REED HR are delighted to support our client who is seeking to recruit an experienced Senior HR Business Partner to join their busy team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role working closely with the Director of People and Organisational Development on long term strategic HR projects while also taking responsibility and accountability for the HR team. Key Responsibilities: Support the execution of the HR strategic and operational plan deliver on agreed aspects to support the achievement of the organisation's Vision, Mission and Corporate Plan Be a role model and drive the embedding of values and behaviours across the organisation Lead the team to deliver HR service and agenda for responsibility area Have direct responsibility and accountability for the delivery of effective and efficient HR services across:: Recruitment & Selection Employee Relations Payroll HR Administration HR System Equality monitoring Absence Management Direct Line Management of HR Advisors and HR Administrators Employee Relations: Provide specialist advice and guidance to managers and employees on all employee relations matters including probation, performance, conduct, absence management, redundancy, flexible working, maternity, paternity and parental leave in compliance with up to date policies and procedures Organisational Development: Provide advice and recommendations to management to enable the most effective utilisation of the human resources in relation to capacity planning and changing organisational needs Performance Management: Provide coaching and advice to line managers to enable them to drive high standards of performance in line with the organisational Balanced Scorecard. Focus on ways to continually improve performance and in particular, provide a robust process and advice on how to handle matters of poor performance Continuous Personal Development (CPD): Seek to make continuous improvements in your area of work. Undertake training and personal development that is identified by the business through the Balanced Scorecard/annual appraisal process Miscellaneous duties include: Taking responsibility for undertaking pay reviews and benchmarking exercises where appropriate, Produce reports on HR metrics for the Director of People and Organisational Development and Senior Leadership Team, Completion of the annual monitoring and the Article 55 returns, Provide HR KPI reports and analysis of statistics, Participation and lead on HR projects, Represent the HR department at external events Essential Criteria: Associate member of CIPD or above. Have completed the minimum of the CIPD Level 5 Intermediate Diploma in Human Resources Management Minimum of 5 years relevant Human Resources experience working unsupervised Minimum of 3 years’ experience of managing a team An up to date knowledge of current employment legislation and best practice within NI and ROI Strong relationship building and management skills Ability to work to tight deadlines and to a high level of accuracy Experience of using Microsoft Office applications and HR-IT databases Current driving licence and access to a car with motor insurance which enables you to travel across NI for business purposes Desirable Criteria: Degree level qualification in a relevant subject e.g., Human Resource Management, Business Studies For full job description and a confidential chat regarding this role please contact Helen Stewart on
