Overview
Independent Insurance Broker in the Greater Manchester area looking for an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Handler. Responsibilities: Gather information to assess the client's insurance needs and risk profile. Assist in the preparation of risk presentations for insurance underwriters and negotiate terms accordingly. Assist in the preparation of renewal reports in accordance with agreed timescales. Renew and instruct mid-term adjustments on existing policies. Check insurer documentation and send to clients in accordance with company Service Level Agreement, always ensuring their accuracy. Provide ongoing support and advice to clients as appropriate. Manage own files in accordance with company procedures. Build and maintain ongoing relationships with clients and underwriters. Data input into the system, in line with the company procedures. Respond promptly to client queries and ensure that all communications with clients and/or insurers or other business contacts are accurately recorded. Candidates must have a good understanding of General Insurance classes and the ability to prioritise and organise own workload to ensure deadlines are adhered to. The role requiries effective written and verbal communication skills, good interpersonal skills (including questioning and listening) and the ability to develop and sustain internal/external relationships.
