Overview
Do you have experience working with Children, Young People and Families? Want more hours or a new opportunity? BS Social Care are recruiting for Children & Young People Support Worker in the Wakefield area. As a Support Worker, your role will be rewarding and never the same. You will provide one to one support to children in residential care, who suffer with challenging behaviours, mental health issues and educational needs. The shifts will vary from Long Days to Waking Nights and Weekends, so you must be flexible and willing to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week. This is to minimise number of Support Workers working with the individual, as familiarity is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a DBS on the update service, be able to provide 5 years references and provide eligibility to work in the UK - eg driving license, passport and proof of NI. It is essential you have a minimum of a minimum of 1 years experience working with Children and Young People in a residential setting and a Full UK Driving License with access to your own vehicle. Due to the nature of this role you must have the relevant experience, so please only submit your application if you meet all of the above criteria. The hourly rate will be a generous £9.00 - £15.00 per hour (dependant on assignment) with holiday pay to accrue.
