Care Assistant & Companions close to the Basingstoke area of Hampshire, we need you. They promote a minimum of 1-hour support so there’s no rushing between calls and you have the time to do your job well. The Director was inspired by his own experience of family members needing care and he had a desire to do something positive within the local community. What does the role of a Care Assistant & Companion involve? All their clients’ needs vary as everyone is different. The main part of the role will be checking on the client’s welfare and helping them get through a trying time and keep them safe. A big part of the role will be providing companionship, helping with domestic duties, getting them some shopping, preparing meals and helping with any medication. You will keep doing activities they enjoy at home such as gardening, listening to old records or reminiscing about their memories with a nice cuppa. There may be elements of light personal care involved but this would be no different to what you may do for a friend or relative. If you also think about everything you do daily, you would be supporting someone to do the same. After all, not all heroes wear capes and s ometimes it is the littlest acts of kindness that make the biggest difference. Pay rates, benefits & hours £ 9.75- £13.88 per hour, plus 25p mileage allowance and paid holidays. Part-time hours available, hours available between 7am - 10pm. Flexible working hours that you could fit around other commitments. If you have some availability early mornings, lunchtimes, afternoons, evenings and alternate weekends, then this position is ideal for you.
