Client Details Our client are one of the leading specialists in their engineering sector looking for a Financial Controller to join the fast growing business on a full-time and permanent basis. Reporting to the CEO, and as a member of the Senior Management Team, the Financial Controller will be responsible for all aspects of financial management; primarily ensuring the accurate maintenance of current financial records support the timely preparation of monthly management accounts in order to guide and support underlying business decisions. Regulatory and financial reporting will form an essential part of the role, together with budgeting and forecasting, the development of internal control policies and procedures and financial risk management. The role will require regular liaison with internal teams and external finance contacts to promote a positive and proactive working environment. Description Acting as the Finance lead for all day-to-day financial activities of the company Ensuring the nominal ledgers are maintained in a complete and accurate manner Managing the company cash position, including oversight of the credit control function and purchase ledger payments Preparing the monthly management accounts, financial performance KPI's and trend analysis, including presentation of the results at Senior Management Team meetings Preparation of and subsequent reporting against the annual budget Cash flow forecasting & management Relevant nominal analysis to support business activities as necessary Leading the statutory audit process, including audit file preparation and liaison with the company accountants Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns and management of other regulatory requirements Liaising with external tax advisors to minimise exposure to corporation tax payments Acting as first point of contact with banks and other finance contacts Reviewing systems and control processes and suggesting areas for improvement Working with the commercial team to manage Export Control activities Profile ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified Excellent technical accounting skills Available immediately or on a short-notice period Previous manufacturing experience is essential Excellent communication skills Our client are looking for a confident, passionate and driven professional with a 'hands on' and adaptive accounting approach.
